Now it is time to visit the most sought after destinations of Munnar: For those chivalrous lots, you can take the challenge head-on by climbing the 8841 ft Anamudi, which towers well over the town. This is the highest peak in the southern part of Himalayas and was functioning as a pole for anchoring the ships. If you are fortunate, then you could witness the blossoming of Neelakkurunji flowers picturesquely carpeting the entire surroundings. This natural phenomenon would take place only once in 12 years. On the evening you can go for shopping tea, spices or locally made handicrafts.

Now it's time to drive towards the top station that offers a panoramic view of the landscapes of Tamilnadu/ Western Ghats. En route you can go for a breathtaking cruise either at Maduppetty Dam or Sethuparvathipuram. A visit to the tea museum and tea factory in the afternoon gives you an aromatic experience.
